What are the Kapalua Village Walking Trails?
The Kapalua Village Walking Trails are a series of trails following the former golf cart path at Village Golf Course. Kapalua Village Walking Trails includes six trails total, but the two primary trails are the Lake Loop and Cardio Loop. You can access the Kapalua Village Walking Trails at the Kapalua Adventure Center.
Cardio Loop
Cardio Loop is one of Kapalua Village Walking Trails’ most popular paths. The Cardio Loop is 1.25 miles long and is mainly paved, with just a short unpaved stretch. It is considered a moderate trail, primarily because of its hill. However, the beautiful forest scenery is well worth it if you are up for a moderate walk. If you feel up for more walking, continue on at the top of the trail and walk up the hill to get to the duck pond, a great place to relax and take in the area’s natural beauty.
Lake Loop
If you are searching for a more strenuous walk, try Lake Loop, a 3.25-mile loop trail. If you are looking for a flat hike, Lake Loop is not the trail for you; this varied trail features plenty of hills and is considered difficult. However, the climb up to the lake is worth it, and you will also be rewarded with breathtaking ocean vistas. Like Cardio Loop, Lake Loop is well-kept and mostly paved, though part of the trail is comprised of dirt instead of pavement. If you do not mind a path filled with ups and downs, Lake Loop is an ideal walking trail for you.
