From Kaanapali or Kapalua, take Honoapiilani Highway south through Maalaea and into Kihei. Continue onto Wailea Alanui Drive, then turn onto Makena Road. Poolenalena Beach is accessed via a dirt road near Mile Marker 2, with a small parking area near the beach entrance.
