Kapalua Ridge Villa 1523

The views here are spectacular. Bring your binoculars for the dozens of Wells you’ll see every day.

We’ve stayed at many, many Ridge properties over the years and this is the best we’ve ever had. 5-star overall experience!

The house is clean, spacious, well equipped and accurately described by the host. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the ocean. Our vacation stay was great and exceeded the expectations! Thank you!

This area is our favorite!! We love staying in the Kapalua Villas. Everything we need is within walking distance.

We have stayed in the Ridge Villas several times. This unit is nice.

It was large and roomy for our family. We have 3 teenagers. Perfect set up for older kids. The outdoor patio is up high so you can take in the beautiful views and island breeze.

We would stay here again.

Our second time staying in the Ridge Villas-first time in this unit. Really loved the Villa, and the views down to the ocean were awesome. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable. Plenty of space for 2 couples. Convenient to beaches and restaurants. Covered parking attached to villa. Felt very private despite being in a multi unit building. Management very easy to communicate with. Had an episode with connectivity-and this was resolved very rapidly. Overall, I think this is a great value for the rental fee charged for a week, and would definitely rent this villa again. Only negative comments are that the unit didn\'t have a cooler to take on excursions/to the beach- so we ended up going to Ace Hardware to buy one-not a deal breaker-but something I normally expect when renting a unit like this. And, the pool/grill is a bit of a hike down the hill. We used the grills several times-which were great, but the first time food was cold by the time I walked it back up to the villa. Better to plan to eat down by the pool or drive down to make the return quicker.

The condo was everything we could hope for and more! The view was spectacular. All furnishings were very nice and the kitchen was so well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and even spices. Highly highly recommend!!!

Jake and his team are excellent! very dependable. Propety needs a deep clean - under beds, behind furniture, fronts of cabinets, etc. Too much of the owner's stuff in cabinets and too many tchotchkes throughout.

Excellent experience; just as I always remembered Kapalua. Great condo location with excellent views which is why we always like the Ridge. Well maintained and stocked unit. One small maintenance issue at the start which was very promptly and completely addressed. With the breezes we hardly even turned on the AC, fans were more than enough plus we wanted to hear the ocean.

Let's just start by saying the views were incredible. Every morning we'd open the sliding doors, sit on the lanai and enjoy the views and ocean breeze. The condo was very clean, the furniture was comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked - it had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation (would have loved a beach umbrella along with the chairs and towels that were provided, but not a real complaint). The A/C worked well, but you honestly didn't need it during the day if you had the doors open. The pools were clean and the water was a comfortable temperature. No issues with parking and conveniently located near good restaurants and shops. The beaches nearby were beautiful (definitely take the free shuttle that this property offers - way easier than finding parking)! And if you golf at Kapalua, be sure to mention you're staying at the Ridge as you get a discount. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Everything was PERFECT!!! The only thing I can complain about was my vacation was not long enough.

This villa exceeded our expectations. The view was majestic with the ocean and cliffs straight ahead. Furnishings were comfortable and the upstairs master suite really felt like you were home. All the baths and kitchens were updated and well stocked. We cooked at home twice and sat at the best table in Kapalua! Best of all we’re the awesome trade winds. The villas orientation allowed for beautiful breezes blowing through the house at all times. We never used our air conditioner at all. Overall I highly recommend this villa for you and your friends and family.

Stayed here at the beginning of August 2021. Overall the stay was great. Location was awesome, being able to see the sunrise over the ocean from the balcony was priceless. Having a shuttle that would drop off and pick up from Kapalua Bay made it extremely convenient and a time saver...parking is a nightmare especially with how crowded the island is now. Everything was well maintained and the management was responsive to any questions and needs i had. The only con I had or experienced was the ground level bedroom. The bed had a big dip on one side which made sleeping in that spot uncomfortable and bad for the back. Luckily enough the bed is a king sized bed so there was ample room for me to scoot to the middle. All in all i had a great stay and would welcome the chance to return here again.

great location

Lots of space for a family of 4 and close to lots of amenities.. good restaurants nearby and right next to the Ritz or Montage if you want to do a spa day. Napilis best beaches a short walk or drive and a free shuttle for all through out Kapalua! Will definitely stay again!

We had a good experience overall. We love the wonderful view from all the rooms. Every room has a different view. Our family of four had plenty of space to move around. The condo does need a bit of TLC. The dishwasher was not working while we were there. We chose to hand wash the dishes as to not be bother with the disruption of our stay. Little things around the condo need a handy person to tend to, i.e. kitchen faucet, the toilet roll dispensers. The kitchen appliances were old, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. The bed sheets could use an upgrade.

As advertised... Beautiful condo in great condition. We\'ve stayed at the Kapalua Ridge over a dozen times, and this was our favorite of all the units we have rented.

This is a beautiful and peaceful Maui condo with panoramic views. Thankfully it\'s not a resort or in the thick of tourist destinations, but it has good proximity to those spots, and is very close to three beautiful beaches. The unit is well-appointed with everything you need to cook meals, relax with privacy, and spend time with multiple guests. It also has great proximity to hikes further north that are off the beaten track. I would definitely stay here again. There aren\'t tons of restaurants in the area, but several nice ones. I recommend making reservations in advance of your trip, or to be open to cooking.

I am sorry to say that i can no longer recommend Aloha Vacation Villas as they are more interested in getting the maximum amount to their Villa owners than dealing with the consequences of the pandemic.I had booked through them multiple times in the past without a problem and booked Kapalua Ridge Villa 1523 Gold Ocean View on June 16,2020 for rental from 1/15/21 to 1/25/21 on Maui. The total charge was $4818. My traveling companion is totally deaf and with the mask mandate she could not travel as she only reads lips and does not know sign language. I got a letter from her physician that it was unsafe for her to travel and when the mask mandate was not lifted I cancelled our reservation on 1/5/21. I understood that it was a late cancellation and offered to pay the owner $2000 and promised to rebook at the going rate with them in 2022. I received from Aloha Vacation Villas a check for $328 of which $235 was the cleaning fee for the Villa I did not use. I feel they were morally wrong

We stayed here for 4 days and really is the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed. The area is super nice, safe and clean. Check in is awesome as Vicky sends email right before we go for the key lock so no waiting to check in anywhere. The view is amazing. Large patio looks out to the ocean which we had morning coffee daily and ate all meals out on the table. The place is spacious with a nice downstairs bedroom with 2 bathrooms and a small patio along with upstairs bedroom with bathroom and patio. The place is large and clean. Now the walk to beach and pool was a challenge when you have things to bring to beach. The pool is easy and down the stairs. It is nice but small and no view. There is a very small parking lot at bottom of hill by the public access to beach but always full. So it is quite a steep walk up and down the hill. But we liked the beach. It is large and quiet. The waves are rough and kinda rocky in the walk in. 4 beach chairs and large cooler are there but would be nice if an umbrella and some boogie boards for use. But the place was awesome!!

Very nice, however bed in 2nd bedroom downstairs kept squeaking every time one of the kids rolled over. Would wake them up.

Wonderful stay. Aloha Vacation Villas took good care of us again. The views from this unit were spectacular. The beds were sooooo comfortable. Would love to return.

The views from this ridge villa are spectacular. Far better than what you get at the nearby Ritz, since these villas are perched up on a hill the unit we stayed in was tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 4. The only minor complaint is that the bed frame in the downstairs master suite was creeky - something that could be easily fixed (and hopefully will be). In general the place was great and we will stay there again in the future.

The place was exactly as it was described. The whole place was very clean, great ocean view and location. Definitely recommend the place!

We have stayed at The Ridge many times over the past seven years. We love the area and the access to the beaches, restaurants, etc. This condo is honestly our favorite place that we have stayed. It is updated and fabulously decorated. It is clean and had everything that we needed to cook meals there. The view is amazing. The beds were great. We will definitely contact Aloha to stay there again. Vicki with Aloha was awesome to work with and all communications were great. Our stay was Five Star for sure. We'll definitely be back. This property is a breath of fresh air. The breeze that you get is amazing, you will likely never need to use the amazing air conditioning. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with anything you will need. The condo is updated and clean. We will definitely be using this property every time we are in Maui.

absolutely loved the rental and the location! Calm neighborhood, great landscape, and the pool/bbq area is very close to rental as well. Great walks to be had all around. The wind was something else at this location. Seasonal wind was so rough it actually took screen doors off on upper floor, and all inner doors needed to be braced should you want fresh air flow. I have stayed in Kapalua years prior, and this was rather rough wind compared to lower, ocean front experiences. There were days of calmer wind as well, you never know what mother nature will send you. All in all, I would most definitely stay in 1523 again.

Excellent location and property

I've only been home for 3 days & I'm ready to return to Kapalua and our Ridge Villa 1523! The layout of the space was perfect in that there are 2 master suites on 2 floors. We were travelling with family, and this split floor plan allowed for everyone to have plenty of space & privacy. The en suite bathrooms are huge, the property was clean & well maintained, and the sunrise views you can enjoy from the 2nd floor suite bed or balcony or 1st floor balconies are simply gorgeous! I'll certainly stay here again, as not only is the villa great, but the location can't be beat! Kapalua offers some fantastic beaches, restaurants, and golf courses. Until next time, I'll be here dreaming of the views & lovely time I had during my Kapalua stay...

We had a great trip and this is a very comfortable spacious villa.

We have stayed at Kapalua Villas many times. This was one of the prettiest and most comfortable condos we have rented there. It has a fabulous expansive view. Highly recommend.

Easy, relaxed professional

We enjoyed our stay at this villas. lovely views and nice furniture. My only issue was the cookware. They need new frying pans, the non stick is all scratched up on the villas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ridge at Kapalua. The layout was perfect. The condo was clean and well-maintained. We loved it!!!!!

Rental was very nice. There were a few problems that could not be resolved while we were there. The washing machine could not be used because it overflowed. The garbage disposal did not work. For some reason I was not aware of the fact that it was a two story condo.

The Villa at Kapalua was a great place to stay. Our family had a wonderful time. The beach, pool area, everything was just what we needed. We would definitely come back to the same unit. Nice neighbourly feel at this location. Thank you Vicky, for finding it on such short notice.

This villa met every expectation! The view was breathtaking! We watched whales from the huge balcony. The furniture was Hawaiian themed and comfortable. The concierge (Maria) was so wonderful and the local contact even helped us get a discount at the nearest spa. It's not just a home away from home, it's so much better!

Maui is the place to be. If you want to escape to paradise this is the spot. No If's, No and's or But's about it. The upper Ridge is the cat's meow. What a view. I can not wait to return.

Our villa was very spacious with a bedroom upstairs. The view was breath taking. Loved the AC and décor. It was remote and a good mile walk to the beach. Great spot for families wanting privacy and quiet. Our teenagers would have preferred a more populated location like Kaanapali which my husband and I found to be to crowded and touristy. Mahalo!

The only negatives were that the dishes/silverware were mostly dirty and we had to wash before using. Also, upon departure, the maid service called and wanted us out early since another family was coming. That was unexpected and a real inconvenience.

Beautiful views, great kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms complete with balconies that had ocean views. The bathrooms were exceptionally large and beautiful. I would definitely use this rental unit again. The property management people were very helpful and friendly. We had just two small issues during our stay and these were quickly resolved. I would highly recommend this unit!

Very nice condo, clean, well maintained. Need to address the slow drains in the master bath sinks. Front door code did not work when we arrived at 3 PM. Waited a few minutes, still did not work. Jake supplied another code. I suspect the combination was not entered correctly or the timer is off. You should look into this.

Overall very satisfied, NO ANTS first time in 7 stays to the Island.

Everything was great except the garbage disposal didn't work and a coule of the smoke detectors kept going off so I took them out of the wall.

Beautiful home, gorgeous view! Would highly recommend! Looking forward to staying here again next year!

We had a fantastic stay. The villa was beautiful and had all of the conveniences. THe view was beautiful! The place is high up on the ridge, so a little farther from the beach than we have stayed before, but wonderful none-the-less. Jake was extremely helpful and readily available. He was very thoughtful and easy-going. A real gem!! Thanks again for everything!

This was a beautiful and very spacious property. The views were terrific.

We loved everything about this unit. It was large, clean, very nicely furnished and finished, had a spectacular view and a large lanai. It was a short walk down several flights of stairs to the beach and a bit longer walk to the Ritz. The property manager was very good to deal with both before and during our stay.

Oh may where do I begin, it was a perfect way to spend our 30th anniversary at Ridge 1523, can not say anything bad, beautiful place all around, will stay there again in the future.

the best place to rent in Maui

great staff at Aloha Vacation Villas- and this condo/location beat all expectations

When I rent again I will know to be very specific what i am entitled too and get it all in the contract. Over all we had a wonderful time in a gorgeous setting.

Very nice unit, some little annoyances: Sluggish master shower drain, one sink of two in master wouldn't drain so did not use. We stayed for 16 nights and would think that the unit could have at least one extensive maid service/cleaning during a long stay, if I was the owner I'd certainly insist on this, we recieved 3 linen services

We were happy with the interior of 1523 Gold. It was clean and well furnished. But we would not choose that location again. It has a great view but is in a very windy area. We were not able to use our lanai except for about the last day because it was too cold and windy.

We,along with another couple, recently stayed at unit 1523 at the Ridges. It could not have been better!! It had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and was great for whale watching and listening to the waves hitting the shore. Even though it was not right on the water it was only a ten minute walk down the road. The unit was very clean and contained everything needed for cooking etc.. The unit manager, Jake was very helpful along with a very polite Ryan who took care of a couple of minor items that needed attention. If we where to ever return to the West side of Maui this unit would be at the top of my list.

This was a great condo and a great location vacation spot. We loved every bit of it, even the Kapalua winds! Beautifully renovated and very roomy. Great adult location.
