Kapalua Ridge Villa 1511

Great location Unit needs a few minor repaires-shower head, burnt out lights. We had an issue with a smoke detector alarm beeping on a Saturday evening and we were unable to get in touch with the property manager. We finally reached someone Sunday and they fixed the problem immediately.

Great property. Clean & tidy. 8 prefer the ridge over golf villas. Great view from bed.

We loved the layout of the Villa, the location was perfect was for walking the Coastal Trail, and we so enjoyed sitting outside watching the whales! The area is beautiful and quiet, yet nearby to great restaurants such as Miso Phat Sushi, Joey’s Kitchen and Fond.

Great views from both lower and upper levels. Very well appointed, and very clean. Property management group were friendly, highly efficient, and easy to reach any time.

This is a beautiful condo with all the amenities you could ask for. It’s well maintained and right on the golf course, within walking distance of a fantastic snorkeling beach with sea turtles, great restaurants and hiking trails. We would definitely return to the Ridge. This is our second year staying here, and we were very happy.

Our family had a great time in the VRBO, we loved the location of the Villa and all the amenities that came with the Unit. The blender did not work, and I called the office and spoke with Dana and I received a new blender within a half hour. Great Place to stay.

The unit is nicely appointed and well-equipped with most all amenities we wanted for our stay. The location is very quiet, and the view of the ocean is a huge factor of enjoyment. The only suggestion I would have is for those guests whose arrivals are in the evening would be to have on hand a small provision of morning coffee, sugar and creamer. Not a huge deal but would be a cherry on top.

This place was glorious! It's even better than the pictures. The management was super helpful. The only reason we gave this 4 stars for general condition was that when we arrived, there was a dirty diaper left in the kitchen trash. All the remotes needed batteries (and there are several), and the upstairs shower door was very low and scraped when closing. We only called about the diaper, because we didn't want to be a nudge over the holidays. The furnishings were very upscale, and the refrigerator was fabulous. Overall, if we come to Kapalua again, we'd love to stay there again (and assume all the "little things" will have been attended to).

Beautiful home, spectacular view

This was a perfect villa to rent for our anniversary trip. So close to many beautiful beaches and a short drive to the rest of the island. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first time in Hawaii and Marty and the team at Aloha Vacation Rentals came highly recommended to us. We loved the villa and wouldn't hesitate to rent again. We didn't take advantage of the concierge services as much as we should have but it was very helpful to have groceries delivered in advance of our stay. All of our meals in local restaurants were delicious...especially Merriman's. Just book well in advance.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kapalua Villas, everything was above and beyond what we could have even hoped for! When we come back to Maui, we know where we'll be staying. If you choose to stay in one of the villas, it will surely become your home away from home. We miss Maui already!

Our second stay in a condo at The Ridge. Super quiet and amazing views. Highly recommend.

Our condo was as advertised. It was clean, well located with a lovely view, and well appointed.

I absolutely loved this home. We arrived at night and had a hard time finding the place but the project manager on duty was great and helped us navigate where to go. This villa was immaculate. Clean gave new paper towels new dish soap new sponges which was a big plus for me it’s the little things that make a difference. It was close to everything the view was spectacular and it was quiet. The pools were great there are grills in the pool area which was a plus.

Have stayed many, many times at the Ridge Kapalua Villas so we are no strangers to the property and Kapalua. This was an excellent villa with outstanding views. The villa is beautifully appointed and fully equipped with everything you might need for a short or extended stay. We cannot say enough good things about this villa. The owners really go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a perfect, the added extra touches make such a difference and much appreciated! Special thanks to the property management for their quick response and providing adequate toiletries and kitchen sundries. We had a great time staying here. Not a bad thing to say about the property! Clean, quiet, great views, comfortable bed, everything in working order. For sure would stay here again!

The rental experience from start to finish was great! The condo is absolutely as advertised, with no surprises or disappointments. The condo is very well kept, clean, and handled our every need. Gorgeous views to wake up to every morning. The complex as a whole is quiet and family friendly. Excellent kitchen and family area, King bed, huge bathroom. Everything is top notch. My only negatives were - No fitness facility (Ritz is $25 per person per day) and the early checkout (11 am) was inconvenient. We asked for a couple hours extra due to a later flight and they declined our request, so we had to live out of our car for the final day of our stay. But, overall it is a beautiful place.

We loved our stay at this condo. The location was perfect with access to some of the best beaches in Maui. The shuttle service was fast and convenient, we didn’t have to worry about parking. The condo was clean, spacious with a great view! There were great walking and running trails right from the condo. We enjoyed relaxing mornings and evenings enjoying the view. The condo had beach chairs, umbrella and snorkel gear. We were surprised by a mid stay linen change and cleaning. We would definelty stay here again.

We had a wonderful time here! The only downside was out of the owners' control - construction next door and some midday power washing in the unit above that forced us to close the windows for a few hours. But the view is beautiful and it's a fairly easy walk down to the water and to several beautiful beaches! The kitchen was fairly well stocked and there was plenty of beach/snorkel equipment.

Bring your own 2-ply toilet paper and you'll love it here!

Easy everything. Clean. Beautiful views. Loved having a kitchen. All the windows have louvers on them so you can easily and safely open all of them for great cross breezes. We only used the A/C one time while we were here.... and it is LOUD. But it works!

We rented a villa at the Ridge in Kapalua for our anniversary. We found everything we needed including beach chairs. The villa was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Lovely unit with incredible views! We've stayed in the Beach Villas, Golf Villas and this was our favorite! It was clean, well stocked and we loved the location. The lanai's were very private. Looking forward to returning!

We’ve been to Hawaii 25+ times (we’ve lost count), and we’ve stayed in some of the top resort properties, as well as VRBO sites on multiple islands. This unit - and the Ridge Villas - are now in #1 status for us. Kapalua was already our top destination; this unit in the Ridge Villas is now our preferred spot. We’ll be back.

At first blush, all looked good. But the details, well, they left practically everything to be desired. Fundamentally, it's clear they just don't care. There's a tub, sure, but only enough hot water for a quarter fill, and the property manager says "the water heater is working fine." Bad knives that won't cut hot butter and no way to sharpen them, with poor and meager cooking utensils. The cheapest toilet paper and paper towels known to man. Annoying pumps that cycle on and off all night long. If you plan to use it only as a crash pad and a place to enjoy cocktails overlooking the ocean, and you're a super deep sleeper, it's fine. But as a temporary "home," and for the price, it was quite disappointing.

Gorgeous views and everything I needed to have a relaxing vacation. Place was clean, easy to access and very private. It's close to two resorts and to ocean trails. From the upper balcony you can see the ocean and sometimes hear it. Highly recommend

Long story short, we had nothing short of a nightmare with our COVID tests, results didn't come back on time, had to scramble to find a second rapid test, etc. I called Kapalua Bay Villas to cancel our trip (in tears), and Jake the property manager calmly talked me down off the ledge. He offered to switch our reservations back by two days and encouraged us to contact the airline and switch our flights. He was so kind and was willing to work with us to get us out there. The condo and location is second to none. The views really are what you see in the photo - no tricky zooming in. We could see whales from our lanai. The view from our bedroom was spectacular! I've read other updates that this unit was worn and needed updated. I suppose if you were going to entertain or spend most of your time in the condo, it might be a small issue, but it wasn't that important to us. The level of cleanliness and decor/furniture was absolutely sufficient. Our priorities for our stay were great oceanfront views, lanais/patios in both living and bedroom areas, and decent access to the beach. This place delivered on all three. (It's about an 8-10 minute walk to Kapalua Bay.) Thank you, Kapalua Bay Villas and Jake! We literally would not have made our vacation with

We've been here in Paradise for almost 4 and a half months. We were anxious about going back to the mainland during the covid19 crisis. We feel very lucky to be able to stay here and felt very safe. This is our third year staying in 1511 at the Ridge and always enjoy our stay here. It is a lovely get away from it all place. THe view of the ocean in front and the golf course out the back, who could ask for anything better. The staff, especially Jake and Vicky are both great and get back to you right away if you have any concerns. Highly recommend this villa. Great walking area and great restaurants just down the road. Also, good beaches, tennis and of course fantastic golf courses, what more can you ask for!!

I have stayed at the Ridge Villas over the past 20 years and this was the nicest one bedroom I have stayed in. Remodel of condo was beautiful and views to ocean great. Had the most spectacular rainbows during the trip from this condo.

We have been staying at this villa for the past 5 weeks and it has been wonderful. Very quiet and relaxing. Great place to watch the whales. The on site maintenance manager Jake was very helpful and very responsive. Change of linens and towels every week was a nice bonus. Highly recommend 1511 at the Ridge, you will not be disappointed...

After staying in this unit for 3 weeks in 2016, we liked it so much we decided to stay there again for 3 weeks in 2017 and we weren't disappointed. We enjoy the location, proximity of beaches, great view of the ocean from both living room and bedroom (whale watching was great this year), comfortable layout of the villa, complex very well maintained, pools and grills well kept, management company staff very responsive.

My husband and I were looking for accommodations for our week-long Maui Honeymoon, and were so pleased to rent this villa! This luxury villa was exactly as advertised: beautiful, immaculately clean, and provided a wonderful home away from home for our entire stay. The villa is within walking distance to a few local public beaches, 2 private community in-ground pools, and a short drive to many restaurants and shops while not being in a "touristy area". It is situated high on a hill giving the most amazing view of the ocean and coastline! The entire villa community and grounds are well kept, and surprisingly quiet. Because we stayed in January, we were also treated daily to views of humpback whales from the lanai from dawn to dusk! There were no issues, besides the fact that the week went by too fast and we didn't want to leave! We would definitely recommend this rental to other couples looking for relaxing, convenient, and comfortable vacation accommodations.

Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful experience. Having been to Maui/Kapalua numerous time in recent years, we had very high expectations. For the most part, these were met. The negative part of our stay were: TV,s need serious upgrade, ceiling fan and A/C in bedroom noisy and mattress too soft for our liking.

We had a great time celebrating our honeymoon in Maui. The condo allowed us to relax and enjoy our time on the island. There were great accommodations in the room and throughout the resort area.

We stayed at this villa in 2015 and couldnt wait to return in 2016. Everything was as before, all requests dealt with in advance of arriving. We absolutely adore staying here - the views from the upstairs lanai are just breathtaking and it's great being awakened by the birds singing, instead of an alarm clock. As we stayed 11 nights, our room was cleaned half way thru our stay and our towels/linens were replaced. We had no problems at all with this villa. It is furnished and upgraded to a very high standard. Wifi speed is good and only had to reboot the router once. We are already planning to Maui next year and hope to secure this villa once more. Our rental experience was awesome! Villa was in great shape and the actual views were better than the pictures. Property management on-site staff was also great and very responsive. We were very pleased with the location and layout of the villa, very spacious and open. Kitchen was well furnished and clean. Property was also very well maintained and lovely. This was our 2nd year staying in this condo. The condo was still in perfect condition. The mattress was new this year which was nice. This remains the perfect luxury condo for a couple. Had to call for a repair on the refrigerator and Jake had someone there within the hour. Very impressed by the rental company and the continued upkeep of this gorgeous property.

We loved out stay in 1511 . Because of the recent heat wave, he AC was greatly appreciated and the pool was perfect. The furnishings were first class. Not too far from the Ritz for morning coffee! I would highly recommend this vrbo rental in Kapalua.

Our villa was absolutely Perfect.We were just a couple honeymoons in Maui and this place was EXACTLY what we wanted. So peaceful and quiet with some of the most amazing views I could image. Beautiful Location and Property

We love to stay at Kapalua when we come to Maui. It is quiet and peaceful and away from the crowded tourist areas and hotel areas, yet close enough to all those places when you want to go there. This unit was one of the nicer units we have stayed at and we are already talking about coming back next year. We loved to lay in bed and look out at the ocean seeing the whales breach in the distance.

We loved this property. Beautiful unit, nicely decorated and awesome views. Very quiet and peaceful property. We were not impressed with the service Jake provided. One of the beach chairs provided was broken. Jake said he would try to round up another for us. The following day, he left a disgusting replacement by our door. It was covered in mold and scum. We never touched it. He should have said he could not locate one. Loved the area of Kapalua. It is a bit of a drive to get to Lahaina, but worth it. We would stay here again and highly recommend property.

Truly an amazing property. Very well maintained. Decorated nicely. Good size. Great location. We love Kapalua because it's out of the main area of the resorts and this condo was up at the top of a ridge which was very peaceful and quiet.

I am a co-owner of a condo in the Big Island and was very much impressed at the cleanliness, fixtures and decorative effort of the owners here. The property manager and owners have made a big effort to ensure a good stay. The view is spectacular and the unit was very spacious for the two of us- with easy accommodation for 2+ children as well. I did not need to utilize any property management services as the unit was ready for arrival and in great shape. Of course, it wasn't perfect - but it was close. The beach on the property is an easy walk, but I would suggest using the Access Parking if you are carrying chairs, boards, etc. The beach-surf is good for boogie boards (use far left if younger boarders; far right for surfing). Mid section of beach is shallow and partly rocky, but not sharp; good for intermediate to experienced boogie boarders. Golf is right there (play the Plantation course just to say you did - some greens are slippery, but you will have a good time anyway). I hadn't been to Maui for 30 years - a lot has changed, but if my wife and I go again, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful condo. Very spacious, beautifully decorated, all high end, this condo is just perfect. The complex is quiet and the views of the ocean are just incredible. We bought a small cooler, a must have for days at the beach, we left it in the condo so future guests might enjoy it too. The beach chairs and beach towels provided were much appreciated. This is our 4th trip to Maui, our favorite vacation spot and we would definitely stay in this condo again.

This is our second stay at the Kapalua Ridge Villas and we just love staying there. It is the best kept secret, it is quiet, the kids had the pool to themselves, great BBQ 's for cooking dinner, walking distance to 4 different beaches, especially Flemming Beach which offers the best Boogie boarding, running trail just minutes from your front door-tennis, golf, etc, etc. unit 1511 was perfect!, nicely decorated, clean, and the most awesome view from anywhere inside and outside the unit, the grounds are so well maintained, we will be back next year, my only recommendation would be to add a cooler, beach towels and a pancake griddle to the unit-all other amenities were great.

Wifi internet service was very bad, had to unplug and reset modem and router about 10 times a day. Air conditioning did not work and took 2'days to get repaired. Spider webs all over the outside entrance.

Great condo in beautiful Kapalua, away from the bustle of Lahaina and Kaanapali. The weather is a bit rougher up there - but the area is very scenic. The condo is as advertised - very well furnished and in very good condition. It was our second time at this place and we'll go again!

There was an excellent unobstructed view of the sea in front of the lanai even though it was on the lower level of the building. We could see whales blowing, swimming and breaching every day while we were eating breakfast or lunch. (We were there at the end of January and early February which meant it was dark when we cooked dinner or went to one of several excellent nearby dining rooms. An online booking at the aquarium at the oceanic centre was well worth the cost and trip to town. One day's admission if purchased on line at least a day ahead of the first visit gets you 8 days admission the excellent aquarium. The management responded quickly to a few requests for service

Can't say enough good things about this villa. A nice relaxing atmosphere, with beautiful views, comfortable furniture and upscale interior. Had everything you could need, just like home. This place was pretty close to perfect! Looks just like the pictures! We stayed here for a week in Jan.and were able to spot whales from both lanai's. We went to Oahu the following week and were disappointed that our condo there wasn't as nice as this place! Had a small problem the last two days with the upstairs next door neighbors leaving their outside light on, which shines into the upstairs hall window that causes a light in the bedroom, but wasn't something management could control. Just inconsiderate people. Only a couple of minor cleaning issues (wife is clean freak...lol)but overall great place to stay! Well worth the price!!! Will definitely try to stay here again if we are able to visit again!

My wife and I loved every moment of our time in Maui! This townhouse was just like our home away from home!Spectacular views off both of the lanai's. The location was within walking distance to several beaches. Loved it! We will be back.

The place was very clean, updated, comfortable, we had everything we needed for ourselves and our two toddlers. The view was amazing, and the location was much like a pristine garden of Eden. The management was invisible until we needed them and then they were right there. Very close to many of the best beaches. My wife thanked me twice for choosing this place. The kitchen and washrooms had everything you would need and were fully functioning.

After staying on Maui several times in the last 30+ years, we decided to select a condo for a vacation. Since I stay in lots of hotels for business, I thought this was a great idea. My wife, Kathy looked at the websites for condos for almost 2 months before selecting this one. This was everything it said it was and more. The floor plan, location, view and element of privacy was incredible. No real problems, just had to reset the internet router a couple of times. The GFI popped on the AC and was attended to promptly without an inconvenience. On our next trip to Maui we have decided to use this unit if available. Was above expectations.

The unit was beautifully decorated, and the grounds are meticulously kept up. I love the overall quiet and tame feeling that one gets in Kapalua. I was a little disappointed with the view, since I thought I would be able to see a sunset. My sunset view was blocked by the condo next to me. The ice-maker in my unit was broken. I did not care enough to report it and have it fixed during our stay. Thank you.

We could just move into this condo! We had morning coffee on our bedroom deck, and breakfast on the patio. Both with views of the ocean and the sound of the surf! The condo looked even better than the pictures on the website. High end kitchen. Victoria and Jake were pleasant to work with and very attentive to our needs. We would stay here in a heartbeat and recommend it to our friends.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking at staying on this side of Maui. The location is great, shops close by, best snorkelling beach only 5 mins away yet far enough away to be nice and quiet. The property itself is nothing short of Amazing, from the moment we walked in we were in love with the place. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Maui

We really enjoyed staying in this condo. The surrounding area is beautiful and clean and the views are wonderful. After visiting the busier and more crowded south end of Maui, we are sooo glad we stayed up in the quiet, greener and cleaner Kapalua area even if it meant driving a little further to get there. If you want some peace and quiet, this is a great area to stay in.

A wonderful villa located away from the tourists, it is newly renovated, very clean and has all necessities in the house. It gets a little windy in the afternoon but you need it in the summer 🙂 The ocean is about a 10 minute walk, it's a bit rough for swimming but has a beautiful almost private beach, also the villa is about a 10-15 minute drive from the Farmer's Market and 20-25 minute drive from Lahaina downtown (Front st). I would recommend this place for a family who wants a nice elegant place because places we have stayed at before (Honokowai) were very "worn down".

The unit was great, and helped contribute to a a very memorable first trip to Hawaii. Although the unit was higher up on the ridge away from the ocean, the unit was updated with all the modern amenities one would hope for in a vacation rental and the lanai provided a great view of the ocean to wake up to every morning. We loved this unit when we stayed in April 2013. It was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities. The town house floor plan was very nice. The master bath is very spacious and newly redone as is the kitchen. We'll want to stay there when we go back again!

Non functioning icemaker throughout our stay. Housekeeper did not return mid week.

We spent three weeks at this location. We found it to be exactly as seen in the pictures. The views of the ocean were actually better than anticipated. We especially enjoyed the ground level patio for whale watching. The patio off the master was also a very enjoyable place to watch the whales. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. The walk to Merrimans was a great way to end each day. Overall, a very positive experience.

Would definitely stay again! Had a wonderful experience for our honeymoon. We had some minor issues with our hot water not working in our hot tub. Other than that, great property in a wonderful area.

We have stayed at Kapalua many times, always on the Ridge. 1511 was a beautifully remodeled unit with great ocean views. There was some construction noise from the unit next door, but this was just an unfortunate coincidence of which the rental agents did not have prior knowledge. They offered both alternate accommodations as well as complimentary spa days to minimize the impact on our stay and were very responsive. Highly recommended despite the one time inconvenience!

We loved our stay in Kapalua villa.The villa is very large and has everything you need. Everything was clean and well prepared when we arrived. The sea view is wonderful. We would go back.!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The rental property was everything as advertised and left us wanting for nothing. Beautiful views from both Lanais - pictures in VRBO's listing are nice, but don't do justice to what you actually see. We can't wait to go back and would look to book at the same location!

Great unit, clean, beautifully furnished, fully equipped kitchen, photos are 100% correct, the view is very beautiful. Kapalua is a nice, very tidy resort. Good/great restaurants nearby. Two great beaches in close walking distance, one of the greatest bays for snorkeling about 10 min by car. Will rent this unit again when we return to Maui, no question.
